Kayla Burns serves as Assistant Vice President - Loan Department Operational Manager at Heritage Bank. Since joining the bank in July 2016, she has progressed from the Operations side of the bank as a Teller to the Loan Department as a Loan Specialist and, in early 2026, into her current leadership role overseeing Loan Specialists and Loan Processors to ensure team success and a strong customer experience.
In her role, Kayla works behind the scenes to keep loan programs and processes running efficiently and accurately. She supports our Neighbors throughout the life of their loan by assisting with documentation, processing applications, and serving as a reliable point of contact during the process.
Kayla enjoys the problem-solving aspect of her work, particularly researching issues and finding effective solutions. She also values working for a community bank where decisions are made locally, directly supporting the community she serves and lives.
