Customer Service Representative/Teller

Branch:  Camdenton

Department:  Deposits 

Reports To:  Branch Manager

Supervises:  None 

Job Summary:  

This dual-role position combines the responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative and Teller, serving as a primary point of contact for customers while ensuring accurate and efficient transaction processing. The role requires delivering exceptional service while assisting customers with account opening, maintenance, and general inquiries. In addition to handling daily teller transactions, this position supports customers with account services, debit card and online banking assistance, and other account-related needs. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and multitasking ability are essential to successfully support both operational and customer service functions.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with opening, maintaining, and servicing accounts

  • Provide prompt, friendly, and accurate customer service in person, by phone, and in writing

  • Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing in accordance with bank procedures

  • Balance cash drawer daily and report discrepancies as needed

  • Verify deposits, examine checks for proper endorsement, and place holds when necessary

  • Count, bundle, and manage currency and coin

  • Assist with night depository processing

  • Support customers with debit cards, check ordering, and online banking inquiries

  • Maintain basic knowledge of IRA accounts and other bank products/services

  • Ensure teller station is properly stocked and report equipment or system issues

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Education & Experience: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent 

  • Successful completion of the in-house training program 

  • Good interpersonal communication and computer skills; ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, adding machines and typewriters

Teller

Branch:  Plato

Department:  Deposits 

Reports To:   Branch Coordinator

Supervises:  None 

Job Summary:  

The Teller position is responsible for providing accurate, efficient, and friendly service while processing a variety of financial transactions. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers, handling daily banking needs such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing in accordance with established procedures. The Teller ensures the security and integrity of all transactions, maintains a balanced cash drawer, and supports overall branch operations. Attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

Major Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing transactions accurately and efficiently

  • Issue receipts and ensure proper documentation for all transactions

  • Verify deposit amounts, examine checks for proper endorsement, and place holds as needed

  • Balance cash drawer at the end of each business day and report discrepancies

  • Count, sort, and bundle currency and coin

  • Assist with night depository processing

  • Maintain and organize teller station, ensuring adequate supplies are available

  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions or system issues

  • Follow all bank policies and procedures to ensure security and compliance

  • Provide basic assistance with debit card inquiries and transactions

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Education & Experience: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
