Junior Credit Analyst  

Department:  Loan 

Reports To:  Executive Vice President – Senior Credit Officer 

Supervises:  None 

Job Summary:  

A self-driven, detail-oriented individual who oversees credit analyses of the Loan Department. This individual needs to possess a working knowledge of the Bank's Loan Policy and be willing to assist in periodic assessments of the Policy as needed. A team-minded approach to every loan request or review is needed to ensure a positive working relationship is deployed with Loan Officers and Assistants at all times. Proficiency in Word and Excel is desired.  

Major Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Exhibits characteristics of the Bank's Core Values, which are Service, Professionalism, Excellence, and Teamwork 
  • Conduct Annual Loan Reviews & Loan Approval Summaries as needed for the Loan Committee & Board.  
  • Present Annual Loan Reviews & Loan Approval Summaries to the Loan Committee & Board as requested.  
  • Assist Loan Officers and Assistants with questions pertaining to financial information and the interpretation thereof.  
  • Be willing to meet with customers as requested and to communicate with them professionally.  
  • Serve as the Bank's backup for documenting financial tracking information. The Junior Credit Analyst must be familiar with financial documentation processes and serve in this role when the Business Development/Loan Officer Analyst is unavailable.  
  • Thorough understanding of the Bank's Loan Policy and willingness to provide input during revision sessions as needed.  
  • Perform other related duties as required 

Education & Experience: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Successful completion of the in-house training program 
  • Good interpersonal communication and computer skills; ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, adding machines and typewriters 
  • 1 year of banking experience, preferably within the Loan Department
