John Gideon serves as Executive Vice President and Senior Credit Officer, responsible for establishing the bank’s credit culture to support a positive customer experience and drive overall growth. Since beginning his banking career in 2005 and joining Heritage Bank in 2011, John has played a key role in shaping lending policies and procedures while working closely with the loan department to build strong customer relationships and maintain sound partnerships with regulatory agencies.
In his role, John focuses on developing thoughtful, strategic lending practices that help customers achieve their credit goals while supporting the bank's long-term success. He enjoys working alongside customers to ensure their financing plans are both practical and beneficial, fostering partnerships that drive mutual growth and stability.

Having witnessed Heritage Bank’s growth from fewer than 15 employees and $36 million in assets to more than 60 employees and over $430 million in assets, he appreciates the opportunity to contribute to the bank’s continued progress and its positive impact on the community.
